first_imgWe’re looking for an ambitious writer that eats tech news for breakfast, gadgets for lunch, and then has a light snack of thermal invisibility cloaks to get them through the afternoon.The ideal candidate will have some tech writing experience (1-2 years), be very familiar with ongoing trends, be able to dig up an interesting story no matter how slow the week, and have an undying passion for gadgets, technology, and assorted geekery. You should be a quick, clean writer that operates without much supervision, but also someone that can work with our freelancers and send a good story idea their way, possibly doing some light editing so that their work is ready for prime time. There will be some busy work — community tasks and other day-to-day stuff — but this job will primarily be about the writing.You’ll need to have a fun, interesting tone, an understanding of what’s happening around the internet, and love for this crazy business we’re in. Ideally the candidate will have an area of expertise. In addition to news, you’ll need to be able to write some unique, longer stuff, so you better have something interesting to say past what you find in Google Reader.This is a full-time position with benefits, based on our NYC office.
