Zadar, Split, Rijeka, Dubrovnik and Pula have a 55% increase in driving compared to the same period from June to August last year. While Zadar and Rijeka stand out as the leaders of the trend, and if we single them out, they show an increase in the number of rides by more than 100%. The most common starting points and destinations are bus stations and shopping centers, regardless of whether they are cities in the interior of Croatia or cities along the coast. The list of users also includes citizens from other countries who used the platform during their stay in Croatia. “The increase in the number of rides, especially visible in the cities on the coast, is the result of continuous work and effort that Bolt invests in the quality of service, communication with customers and relationships with partner drivers. We are certainly pleased with the fact that in this challenging and unpredictable tourist season we can boast of an increase in the number of rides in August, during the peak season, by more than 50% in Split and more than 30% in Zagreb compared to August 2019. We believe that we participate in creating a new trend in the city and that the positive growth in the number of rides and new users of the Bolt application will continue next season, ” concluded Tomislav Lukačević, director of Bolt in Croatia. Although this season was more than challenging and different than any before it, the leading European platform for providing transport services on request, Bolt, the time period of the season from June to August ends with positive numbers, ie an increase in the number of rides in Croatia compared to the same period last year. The Coral Springs Police Department is reporting that they have arrested a man who reportedly attacked a pregnant woman in front of two children.The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon at home in Coral Springs.When authorities arrived to the home, they found a pregnant woman in pain and 27-year-old Oshane Saunders putting his things into a suitcase. When they asked what happened, officials were told that Saunders’ grabbed the pregnant woman by the neck, pushed her against the wall, and then threw her on a bed. At that point, the woman then attempted to grab their 6-year-old son and leave, however, Saunders’ reportedly pulled the child from her arms and then threw her on the ground in the living room in front of her 12-year-old niece.Officers reported that they noticed scratches on the woman’s face, neck, and collarbone. The woman’s 12-year-old niece also told authorities that she was scared of Saunders.Saunders was then arrested and taken to Coral Springs Police Department station for processing. He was then released to the Broward Sheriff’s Office on a pending warrant for driving with a suspended license.Saunders faces charges of aggravated battery and tampering.
A former captain of the Nigerian Cricket team, Chris Enahoro, is dead. The all-round Nigerian sports hero died in the early hour of yesterday in Lagos. He was 80 years old.The death of Enahoro who for several years was Nigeria’s record holder in the high jump, was confirmed by his Personal Assistant, Razak Adedigba.According to Adedigba, Pa Enahoro who has been battling with health challenges saw his doctor the previous day and was asked to take a rest from work.“When the doctor came on Wednesday, he attended to him and told him to rest. He later woke up in the evening to have his dinner and told me he was getting better. But early today (Thursday), he woke up at 5am to visit the toilet on his own but he told me to lay him on the floor and I had to put on the fan for him where he laid until he breathed his last breath around 6:30am,” stressed Adedigba who has been with Enahoro in the last decade as his PA. Enahoro was for several years captain of the Nigerian and West African cricket team. He was also involved in athletics, holding the national record in the high jump as well as champion in several other field events.
