first_imgSign up for our COVID-19 newsletter to stay up-to-date on the latest coronavirus news throughout New York A 50-year-old man was found dead in his Centereach home that had caught fire on Wednesday, Suffolk County police said.Neighbors called 911 when they heard an explosion and saw flames coming from a house on Minerva Lane, where Centereach Fire Department firefighters found Timothy Oskey unresponsive, lying on the floor of the basement at 2:40 p.m., police said.Oskey was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.The Ronkonkoma, Farmingville and Selden Fire Departments also responded to help extinguish the flames.Homicide Section and Arson Section detectives are continuing the investigation but do not suspect foul play.last_img
